European Patent Office Lecture

The European Patent Office will be on campus on Thursday 10th December to give a presentation on patents, IP and careers within the EPO. They are specifically wishing to target science students with engineering or physics backgrounds. The EPO are providing a lecture to postgraduate researchers and early career research staff at 11am (www.soton.ac.uk/careers/pgr/events/epolecture122009.html) however we are looking to provide at least one undergraduate lecture in addition, likely to be at 1pm however there is potential for a 3pm session and potentially another if required at a different time (based on room availability).

EPO are keen to hear from finalist but also happy to engage with 1st and 2nd years as they feel they could encourage the take up of languages during studies as careers with EPO require knowledge of three European languages (including English).
