celebrating the award of the 2009 Nobel Prize in Physics to Charles Kao, Willard Boyle and George Smith for the invention of telecommunications optical fibres and CCD image sensors.
The lecture will be on Thursday 3rd December at 6pm in Lecture Theatre A (building 46), with refreshments beforehand in the Seminar Room on level 5.

Dr David Smith
Reader in the School of Physics & Astronomy.
