Playing netball with Physics is a great way to take a break from your hard work and to get out and get active! Our team consists of Physics, Engineering and ECS girls and we play in division 4 of the Intramural League. We schedule training for Wednesday afternoons and evenings and play matches on Sundays.
Women are often outnumbered in science subjects at university so our goal is to get as many girls in STEM subjects as possible involved in the sport, playing as one team. It doesn't matter if you've never even held a netball before - anyone can come along and try it out.
Our league is not extremely competitive and our main aim is to have fun and play as many games as possible. If you would like to come and try it out, please let me know at firstname.lastname@example.org or get in touch with Thomas Radford, the Physoc Sports Rep.
